First, the important thing to remember is that consistency is far more important than frequency. That said, here’s a quick guide to help you find that sweet spot between staying in front of people and looking like a spammer.
We don’t really have to tell you how busy the life of a real estate investor is. By the very nature of this business, you can never stop filling your funnel with leads because once you get a deal, you don’t get a repeat customer (at least we hope not).
Between meetings with sellers and everything else we had to do, our marketing efforts sort of lurched and paused depending on how busy we were managing our projects. Before REI Social, we were making posts one at a time and struggling to keep our social accounts active enough that people would believe we were still in business! Now we can schedule a whole month of posts in 15 minutes or less! When posting is this fast it’s so easy to go overboard.
So what’s the magic formula?
Google My Business: One new post every 7 days
GMB posts expire every 7 days, which means they will no longer be visible on your maps.google.com presence.Â
Facebook: 1 time per day or 5 times per weekÂ
According to Hubspot, businesses with more than 10,000 followers were the only ones that saw an increased number of clicks when posting more than once per day. Businesses with less than 10,000 followers received 50 percent fewer clicks per post when they published twice per day.
Twitter: 3-5 times per day (mostly text-based posts)
Studies found that engagement starts to drop off after the third tweet, and response per tweet peaks at around five tweets per day before taking a dive
LinkedIn: 1 time per day
LinkedIn recommends sharing 20 posts per month, which averages to about once per business day. This makes sense because users typically visit LinkedIn during the standard workweek.
Instagram: 1 time per day
Even top brands only post an average of 1.5 posts per day. So once per day is perfect for your business.
This is a lot of activity to keep up with!
Luckily, REI Social has the right tools and more than enough posts for you to get the job done without even breaking a sweat! Take us for a spin and see how easy marketing can be!
